Climate Change

Climate is defined as an area’s long-term weather patterns. Monitoring provides basic information on climate such as precipitation (rainfall, snow) and temperature as well as frequency of extreme weather (droughts, floods).

This information is important to understanding and predicting environmental impacts related to climate variability and change.
