The Oil Sands Monitoring Symposium will be held on February 24-25, 2015 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.
This two-day event will feature technical presentations on monitoring activities and results collected during the three year Joint Canada/Alberta Implementation Plan for Oil Sands Monitoring (JOSM). Scientists will present findings related to: air, water, biodiversity and wildlife health, monitoring standards and protocols, and innovative monitoring tools and techniques.
The symposium is designed for individuals interested in the scientific basis of oil sands monitoring including: environmental consultants; researchers from academic institutions, non-profit organizations, industry and government agencies; First Nations and Metis organizations; as well, students, instructors and others in the academic community and any group interested in oil sands monitoring results are encouraged to attend.

There is no registration fee to attend this event. Registrants’ will cover their own costs associated with travel and accommodation.
