Our main receptionist is responsible for welcoming and directing visitors and callers for AEMERA’s head office while also providing general administrative services to support a busy workplace. The receptionist will also work with our team of administrative support staff to provide MS Word, Excel, and Power Point services, purchase and manage supplies, conduct internet searches, and manage records for professionals in human resources, information technology, business services and finance. This position reports to AEMERA’s Director of Business Services.
Our ideal candidate must be confident, open and engaging in interactions with visitors and must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. You’ve demonstrated your ability to work on a team and to work independently to achieve team goals. You are organized, detail oriented, thorough and can meet deadlines. Experience working in similar positions will give you the edge!
Qualifications:
- Two (2) year diploma in a related field such as Office Administration or Business Administration.
- Two (2) years of related experience - progressively responsible experience in an administrative role or working in a position with similar responsibilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Proficient with using the internet to search for information, download documents, fill out online applications, make purchases and etc.
- Experience with desktop publishing skills including formatting documents and creating forms is an asset.
- Experience tracking and routing documents; drafting correspondence, researching, analyzing and proposing recommendations is considered an asset.
